About the role
- Lead the disentanglement of legacy contracts, negotiating new standalone agreements for G2
- Manage vendor transitions under TSA (Transition Services Agreement) timelines and compliance requirements
- Partner with Legal and IMO teams to ensure clean separation of entangled vendor relationships
- Build and own G2’s centralized procurement function as the single dedicated procurement professional at G2.
- Own the full contract lifecycle: sourcing, negotiation, execution, renewal tracking, and termination
- Manage vendor contract review, redlining, and standard terms negotiation in partnership with departments (Engineering, Product, Marketing, Legal, Corporate Services)
- Run competitive RFP processes and negotiate volume and multi-year discounts, leveraging combined entity scale
- Manage the expanding shared services tooling portfolio (HRIS, finance systems, security tools, dev tools) across the integrated organization
- Enforce procurement governance, including approval thresholds, vendor onboarding standards, and purchase policy compliance.
- Support centralized tracking of AI tool spend and ROI measurement across the procurement portfolio
- Identify and execute vendor consolidation opportunities, eliminating duplicate and overlapping tools
- Build vendor performance scorecards and establish procurement policies and approval workflows
- Develop spend analytics and reporting on vendor spend trends.
- Prevent value leakage from auto-renewals, unfavorable terms, and unmanaged tail spend
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to centralize procurement processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing
- Demonstrated track record of negotiating SaaS and technology vendor contracts with measurable cost savings
- Experience managing contract lifecycle end-to-end, including renewals, terminations, and RFP processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to build spend analyses and savings models
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to work with every department
- Comfort operating independently and building processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment
