About the role

  • Lead the renewal process with existing clients for upsell and cross selling
  • Drive revenue by understanding and aligning G2 solutions to client objectives
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Create comprehensive sales plans aligning G2 solutions with client growth strategies
  • Drive revenue through book of business with emphasis on retention and growth
  • Prospect and unlock expansion revenue by educating contacts on G2 solutions
  • Build trust with key accounts and executive sponsors through relationship building
  • Develop and deliver concise sales presentations online and in-person
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts with emphasis on multi-threading and prospecting into new teams
  • Support onboarding, handoff, and maintenance calls to ensure successful partnerships
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers, Solutions Consultants, Customer Support, and the G2 Research Team to provide a world-class customer experience

Requirements

  • 3+ years of quota carrying sales or account management experience
  • Experience calling into Mid-Market sized companies
  • Proven track record of high performance and experience exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment
  • Experience in the software, technology, or digital marketing industry
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others internally and externally
  • Understanding of negotiation techniques and client-focused negotiation skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction
  • Willingness and ability to come into the Chicago HQ 2 days a week (required on application)
