About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the continuous improvement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the elimination of waste from our production processes.
- Undertake projects that promote continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring optimal workflow and contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- Support daily production and planning
- Attend daily production meetings
- Report on critical items and any shortages of supplies that need attention or will impact production
- Conduct audits place orders as needed
- Conduct 6S audits as assigned to ensure 6S standards are being maintained and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct audits and inventory counts of shop supplies
- Conduct daily WIP counts
- Conduct air and gas counts
- Conduct chemical counts
- Conduct Recycle Cap counts (module cap transferred between plants)
- Complete Auto-ship and Konrady inventory
- Order shop supplies utilizing both the auto-ship and standard shop supplier tracker
- Complete and update the Chem logs
- Collect/consolidate and enter JDE production data and weekly purge amounts
- Conduct SLIM bottle cycle counts
- Conduct Blast Cap inventory and complete system adjustments as needed
- Conduct NSD and SD calibration verification of Press side tools
- Conduct VBA bottle cycle counts
- Compile and publish shelf-life review and report
- Compile and send out reports for calibration needs
- Compile and complete end of month purge data
- Maintain shop supplies and cabinets
- Audit incoming shop supplies to BOL
- Put away all shop supplies
- Maintain shop supply cabinets
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development
- 2+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
- Experience involving tool management, 6S or continuous improvement project support.
- Good communication skills and be able to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Able to read and interpret production documents and train others in their use
- Intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Visio and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in a manufacturing setting.
- Basic understanding of maintenance and equipment installation processes
- Experience working with a business inventory system desirable.
