About the role
- Track, research, review, monitor, and ensure that G-P adheres to new and changing employment laws, regulations, and requirements across the APAC
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop compliance strategies.
- Advise and collaborate with relevant teams on employment compliance matters across the Americas and provide hands-on support and implementation of employment law requirements, including employment law changes; HR policies; employment related committees and works councils; and health and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and Operations teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement employment practices, HR policies, and procedures that comply with local and international laws.
- Review existing employment compliance practices across the Americas region, proactively identify employment compliance-related gaps, and develop and operationalize mitigation efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Consult on various types of employee communication and employment documentation with an operational lens. Update documentation and seek stakeholder approval as needed.
- Assist Product teams to ensure compliance with employment laws across G-P’s products and platforms.
- Conduct internal audits periodically and support external audits. Consult and manage (when appropriate) remediation plans. Support preparation and filing of required employment compliance related reports with relevant authorities, maintaining accurate compliance documentation.
- Develop and deliver compliance-related communications and training.
- Assorted other risk and compliance tasks and projects, to address the needs of a global, high-growth company.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required, a postgraduate degree preferred
- Global Professional Accreditation – FCIPD, GPHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, preferred
- 7-10 years of human resources, employment compliance, legal and/or risk management experience. Experience working at a multinational company across various jurisdictions is a plus.
- Experience operationalizing employment legislation, employment compliance requirements, and human resources/employment policies across the Americas region.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound decision-making ability, with the ability to provide practical advice and creative solutions, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth global environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and engage with diverse stakeholders across the organization in an international setting.
- Experience testing, monitoring, and auditing human resources’ processes and collaboratively developing remediation plans.
- Ability to pragmatically weigh risks and benefits of complex situations, navigate ambiguity, and ability to shift direction as company priorities change.
