About the role
- Track, research, review, monitor, and ensure compliance with employment laws across the Americas region
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to develop compliance strategies
- Advise and collaborate on employment compliance matters and provide support for implementation
- Collaborate with HR and Operations teams to develop and implement practices complying with laws
- Review existing compliance practices, identify gaps, and develop mitigation efforts
- Consult on various types of employee communication and documentation
- Assist Product teams to ensure compliance with employment laws
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits
- Develop and deliver compliance-related communications and training
- Other risk and compliance tasks and projects as needed
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required, a postgraduate degree preferred
- Global Professional Accreditation – FCIPD, GPHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, preferred
- 7-10 years of human resources, employment compliance, legal and/or risk management experience
- Experience working at a multinational company across various jurisdictions is a plus
- Experience operationalizing employment legislation, employment compliance requirements, and human resources/employment policies across the Americas region
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound decision-making ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and engage with diverse stakeholders
- Experience testing, monitoring, and auditing human resources’ processes and developing remediation plans
- Ability to pragmatically weigh risks and benefits of complex situations.
