About the role

  • Designing, building, and maintaining Golang backend microservices that manage configuration and transform data
  • Developing frontend applications in React and TypeScript, delivering user-friendly, performant interfaces for enterprise customers
  • Collaborating on end-to-end feature delivery — from shaping requirements with Product, to coding, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring in production
  • Reviewing designs and code to uphold engineering quality standards, while mentoring peers through constructive feedback
  • Reasoning about, contributing to and communicating technical designs and architectural decisions
  • Join a technical team of c. 40 technologists focused on collecting, processing and serving large amounts of cross-border payments data
  • Work within Sales Enablement team of 5, following Agile methodologies and interacting with stakeholders across the business

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Strong knowledge of Golang and experience using it to build web app backends
  • Good experience writing JavaScript/TypeScript web apps, especially ReactJS
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Understanding of clean code principles and the language idioms of TypeScript and Go, experience reviewing code using these principles and establishing team quality standards
  • Experience writing automated unit tests
  • Experience utilising AI to increase productivity and efficiency of work and productionised AI tools
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
