About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Futurpreneur and promote its financing and mentoring programs
  • Collaborate with key partners for client engagement and loan portfolio growth
  • Convert entrepreneurial leads from inquiry to application stage
  • Identify and follow-up on high-potential prospects via CRM
  • Attend and coordinate events to engage current and prospective entrepreneurs
  • Facilitate presentations and workshops promoting Futurpreneur programs
  • Assist other programs and regions as required
  • Work with Client Relationship Managers to transition applicants to funding stage
  • Create lead generation opportunities across the region
  • Engage and coordinate events for prospective mentors
  • Confirm fulfillment of mentor gaps with CRM
  • Recruit mentors to meet region's objectives
  • Maintain relationships with strategic and referral partners
  • Facilitate onboarding and training for partners
  • Ensure partners have tools to represent Futurpreneur
  • Identify potential partners through research and networks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Relevant experience may include education in business administration, economic development, entrepreneurship or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, start-up business development or economic development position
  • Bilingualism in French & English is an asset
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs or business startups is a strong asset
  • Ability to deliver public program presentations and workshops
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with a Customer Relationship Management system is required (MS-365)
  • Strong client focus and ability to work with volunteers
  • Confident, proactive and motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of trends within the entrepreneurial startup small business industry
  • General administration experience including budget management, report writing
  • Clear and confident communicator, skilled at engaging diverse audiences
  • Collaborative team player, proactive and solutions-focused
  • Strong organizational skills able to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Promote a positive impact aligned with Futurpreneur’s values
