Bilingual Social Media Content Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Co-create and implement an annual social media plan that strengthens Futurpreneur’s position as the go-to organization for supporting diverse, young entrepreneurs across Canada
- Produce, publish and promote content across all social media platforms, mapping out the content strategy and timeline, and ensuring consistency in tone & voice across all platforms
- Collaboratively develop engaging social media content in English and French, including video and visual assets
- Use Canva to create social media graphics that adhere to branding guidelines and appeal to our target audience
- Work with the Communications and Content Manager to monitor trends and test new ideas and approaches, to improve performance and drive engagement
- Act as the social media subject matter expert for the organization, training staff members across the organization on social media best practices, providing them with guidelines and sample social media messaging when applicable
- Work with the Communications and Content Manager to build and execute a TikTok strategy
- Contribute to and deliver regular analytics reports including reach, engagement and key learnings, for in-house and partner initiatives
- Collaborate with partners and the Marketing and Communications team to create social media assets for all partner-related marketing campaigns, developing strategies and content to ensure maximum reach and impact and fulfill partnership agreements, while providing regular measurement reports
- Use Sprout Social to schedule, monitor and analyze Futurpreneur’s social content across all channels
- Manage ManyChat to engage with Futurpreneur’s audience and deliver timely, relevant resources
- Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and community engagement in special events (e.g., National Mentoring Month, Small Business Month, Global Entrepreneurship Week, etc.)
- Liaise with regional teams to support marketing and promotions of regional events through paid and organic social media
- Provide or coordinate on-the-ground social media coverage during key organizational events and initiatives, capturing and editing photo/video content for posting on national channels in real time
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-5 years of relevant social media, communications and digital marketing experience
- Strong writing skills in English and French, with solid knowledge of Canadian Press (CP) style
- Extensive, proven experience building an engaged following for an organization on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok
- Experience with paid-advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager as well as Reddit and other social platforms is a strong asset
- Previous experience managing multiple, competing projects and managing a large-scale, multi-channel social media presence for a national brand
- Proficiency with Sprout Social (or similar platforms), Canva and CapCut Pro
- Proven ability to develop and execute organic social media campaigns; experience executing paid social media ads is a strong asset
- Proven project/time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use a tool like Monday.com or similar to manage work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to multiple queries, handling multiple channels and managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of digital marketing, search engine optimization, social media, paid advertising, traditional advertising, communications
- Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) is required as you will work daily with non-bilingual team members and/or clients across Canada
