Key responsibilities & impact

Take over the production code and continue building the product
Set the technical direction and lead execution end-to-end
Harden voice and workflow systems for in-production reliability
Establish core architecture, observability, and audit-trail standards
Build internal infrastructure to configure, monitor, and optimize agent performance
Mature the workflow engine so calls, intent classification, and next actions flow reliably
Own accounting and ERP integrations, including QuickBooks and Xero
Balance AI quality and cost-per-call and establish unit economics
Represent the company to finance leaders, partners, and investors as its technical voice
Convert pilots into paying customers and expand AI staff beyond collections
Develop a path toward custom and self-hosted models for data-privacy and financial-compliance needs
Recruit and lead the founding engineering team
Establish the company’s cultural foundation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Shipped LLM-powered and voice systems into production environments where incorrect outputs carried real consequences
Full-stack confidence across applied LLMs, real-time voice and conversational AI, telephony, human-in-the-loop workflows, observability, and secure multi-tenant SaaS
Well-formed convictions about reliability engineering, edge-case management, and AI quality versus cost-per-call trade-offs
Experience building managed and service-heavy platforms and scaling delivery without scaling engineering headcount
Prepared to operate as a principal and challenge product readiness when integrity requires it
Hands-on builder who still writes code and ships
Finance, accounting, or FinOps background is a plus
Based in Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay Area, or ready to be, is a plus
Pragmatic, creative, co-operative, strategic, and hands-on
Active social media presence for founder-led distribution is a plus
