About the role

  • Own the technical vision — Lead product architecture and AI strategy, especially in how we leverage LLMs, agentic workflows, and real-time financial data to support advisors
  • Build the product — Work with FutureSight’s product/engineering pod to launch V1 by August 2025
  • Run Pilots — Land lighthouse customers, iterate pricing/positioning, and validate retention + expansion
  • Ensure compliance & security — Embed SOC2-readiness and privacy best practices into technical design
  • Scale the tech stack — Design a secure, scalable, and extensible backend architecture ready for multi-tenant deployment and financial compliance.
  • Raise capital — Support the seed round with a strong product narrative and traction
  • Build your team — Hire and lead the engineering org as the company grows

Requirements

  • Founder-level drive — You’re motivated to co-found a new venture as the CTO. With or without us, this is your calling.
  • Startup scrappiness — You know what you’re signing up for. You’re familiar with the scrappiness of owning something from start to finish
  • Previous founding experience — You have co-founded a product company or B2B SaaS venture, have been at a venture-backed company, or have equivalent intrapreneurial experience
  • Risk appetite and capacity — Read more on our post on the Entrepreneurial Risk Profile
  • AI execution — Hands-on experience bringing LLM and agentic products to production, with a track record of real-world commercialization.
  • Technical leadership — You’ve led and scaled engineering teams, defined AI roadmaps, and aligned tech decisions with business outcomes.
  • GTM instincts — Proven ability to engage customers, translate needs into product, and drive adoption through early sales, business development, and go-to-market execution
  • Fundraising fluency — Able to craft investor narratives and close capital; well-networked in fintech and early-stage communities
  • People leadership — Magnet for top talent; coach and culture carrier
  • Bonus: Exposure to WealthTech, Fundraising fluency and experience, or network of communities and investors
