About the role
- Lead the company's data analysis function with data engineering reporting into it.
- Responsible for the overall data strategy, team leadership, and ensuring high-quality, actionable insights are delivered across the organisation.
- Establish vision, priorities, and roadmap for the central data analysis and data science function.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Data Analysts.
- Drive the use of data analysis and statistical modelling to inform product development, marketing effectiveness, and business operations.
- Serve as the principal expert for data interpretation, translating complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Overall 4+ years commercial data analytics experience, at least a year in a senior or managerial position.
- Proven ability to define and drive an organisation's analytical agenda using statistical methods and data science techniques.
- Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with data transformations through Sql/ dbt, data modelling and modern visualisation tools like Looker and Power BI. Experience with Python would be an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to influence decision-makers.
- An awareness of higher education (HESA) data reporting would be advantageous.
