Advertising Sales Account Manager – Games
FutureAccount Manager representing advertising sales for Future's Games team, managing a significant portfolio of clients and expanding revenues. Collaborating with management to unlock new business opportunities.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and develop a portfolio of 30 to 85 active clients, driving a minimum of £800,000 in revenue.
- Secure new business wins and expand revenues from existing clients through strategic relationship management.
- Develop multi-period revenue opportunities by cross-selling Future's diverse range of media products, including digital, print, creative solutions, events, and awards sponsorships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior contacts at large and strategically important clients and advertising agencies.
- Collaborate with managers to identify account potential and proactively pursue new business.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in the games industry, in sales, marketing or planning role is essential
- A tangible enthusiasm for video games
- Proven track record in sales, with the ability to secure high-value deals and exceed revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of digital, print, creative solutions, and event sponsorship sales.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling sales materials and presentations.
- Effective pipeline planning and territory management to deliver results.
- Excellent influencing, objection handling, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
- Relevant market experience within the gaming or media sector is desirable.
