Key responsibilities & impact

Architecting High-Performance Models: You will design and deploy sophisticated data transformation pipelines using Dataform.
Modernising Business Logic: You will lead the evolution of established business logic into modern, scalable SQL architectures.
Strategic Technical Partnership: You will act as a consultative partner to BI, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams.
Advancing Engineering Standards: You will champion and apply software engineering best practices to the analytics layer.
End-to-End Delivery Leadership: You will own the full lifecycle of data product delivery.
Championing Data Trust: You will be the standard-setter for data excellence.
Enabling Data Lineage: You will build and maintain detailed documentation that illustrates data origin and transformation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Previous experience within Analytics Engineering or a technical Data role, with a history of delivering end-to-end modelling projects in production environments (Experience in Digital Media is advantageous)
Expert proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred), with a focus on performance optimisation and scalable logic.
Hands-on experience with Dataform or dbt. You understand how to build data products specifically optimised for BI platforms like Looker and ML platforms like Vertex AI.
A commitment to version control (GitLab), automated testing, and writing clean, documented code.
Experience creating detailed technical documentation complex technical architectures to diverse audiences and a to managing project dependencies.
