About the role
- Lead execution and optimization of programmatic revenue across premium digital portfolio
- Define, communicate, and implement programmatic monetization strategy across open exchange, PMP, and PG channels
- Manage floor pricing, auction dynamics, and inventory allocation to maximize yield
- Oversee header bidding integrations (such as prebid and GAM) and ensure SSP configurations are optimized
- Maintain Premium Programmatic and Open Exchange forecasts and present to leadership with strategy narrative
- Manage financial aspects of programmatic operations including budgeting and forecasting
- Collaborate with BI and analysts to develop dashboards monitoring CPMs, fill rates, win rates, and revenue per impression
- Build and deepen executive-level partnerships with SSPs, pricing, privacy, and data/identity vendors
- Represent company at industry conferences and evangelize programmatic strategies
- Troubleshoot ad tech issues and partner with Product and Engineering to maintain ad tech stack
- Attract and mentor a team of yield analysts and programmatic specialists
- Partner with Sales and Finance to align yield strategies with forecasting and revenue goals
Requirements
- 15+ years in digital advertising, with at least 5 years leading programmatic yield/monetization teams at a digital publisher
- Strong Sr. level relationships at SSPs, DSPs and Ad Tech Partners
- Mastery of GAM, Prebid, SSP/DSP dynamics, and header bidding
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (can write advanced macros) and BI tools (Looker, Adomik, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience building teams and influencing senior partners
- Deep knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), identity frameworks, SPO, and new programmatic innovations
