About the role
- Lead Contracting & Negotiations: Drive the full lifecycle of commercial agreements - including PPAs, leases, interconnection, and EPC/O&M contracts.
- Manage and Develop the Delivery Team: Provide clear leadership and direction to the project delivery team, ensuring priorities are aligned with customer outcomes, timelines, and revenue goals.
- Ensure Project Throughput: Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across development milestones - site control, permitting, interconnection, and diligence - to keep projects moving efficiently to close.
- Own Customer Success for C&I Projects: Build trust with sophisticated enterprise customers, ensuring transparency, satisfaction, and repeat business through consistent delivery and performance.
- Bridge Commercial, Technical, and Legal Workstreams: Collaborate closely with sales, legal, and finance to resolve issues early and structure financeable, risk-adjusted projects.
- Systematize for Scale: Create processes, playbooks, and templates that increase velocity and repeatability across a growing portfolio of commercial clean energy transactions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in commercial or industrial solar project development, delivery, or deal structuring.
- Proven experience negotiating PPAs, site leases, EPC contracts, or interconnection agreements for commercial-scale projects.
- Strong working knowledge of project finance, tax equity, and third-party ownership structures.
- Track record of leading teams and implementing scalable processes to improve project throughput and customer satisfaction.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills with enterprise customers, developers, and investors.
- Comfort operating in a dynamic, early-stage environment with high accountability and autonomy.
- Bonus: Experience in clean energy finance, energy-as-a-service contracting, or managing national multi-site portfolios.
