About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and tax-related activities
- Record and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
- Assist in month-end close activities
- Support tax-related work (basic US taxation, sales tax, documentation)
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist in preparing reports for internal review
- Coordinate with the Senior Accountant for reviews and corrections
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance)
- 2–4 years of experience in US accounting / US GAAP environment
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (mandatory)
- Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong knowledge of: Journal entries, Reconciliations, AP/AR processes
- Exposure to taxation (basic level)
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Experience working with US-based clients or accounting processes (preferred)
- Exposure to sales tax / payroll accounting / compliance support (preferred)
- Familiarity with any ERP/accounting tools (in addition to QuickBooks) (preferred)
