About the role
- Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses.
- The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment and service.
- The territory for this position includes the Charlotte metro area and surrounding communities.
- Candidates must reside within this region to be considered.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of how to create highly satisfied customer
- Firm commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
- Interpersonal savvy; able to collaborate and work closely with other departments and leadership
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, process analysis, and improving business practice skills
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Strong presentation skills
- Outstanding time-management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while meeting deadlines
- Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities
- Self-motivated, resourceful and adaptable; able to work independently within team focused environment
- Effective sales competency
- Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred
- Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products and their applications
- Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred
- Advocates a safety-first attitude in all aspects of position
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; Salesforce experience preferred
