About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical execution and infrastructure setup across our UK compute sites, covering power, cooling, mechanical and electrical systems, to the highest standard of performance and reliability.
  • Lead early-stage site evaluations, assessing prospective spaces and colo data halls for technical feasibility before we commit.
  • Drive the full deployment lifecycle from site assessment and hardware selection through to physical installation, commissioning, and handover to live operations.
  • Act as the primary technical presence on the floor, working directly alongside contractors and internal teams to bring each site online.
  • Execute technical fitouts end to end, including logistics, equipment rigging, rack installation, and high-density hardware deployment.
  • Physically install, validate, and maintain direct-to-chip liquid cooling loops and the surrounding critical infrastructure.
  • Set and enforce structural, mechanical, and electrical safety standards across every site you own.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects from the ground up, including DC fitouts, critical facility builds, or hands-on commissioning within colo or hyperscale environments. Owned end-to-end, not supported from the sidelines.
  • Deep technical knowledge of mission-critical power infrastructure covering HV/LV distribution, UPS, backup generation, and switchgear, with a willingness to be equally at home in a design meeting and on the floor.
  • Direct experience working with high-density compute environments including HPC hardware, GPU rack architectures, or high-density data suites, and a strong understanding of what extreme power density demands from the surrounding infrastructure.
  • Practical experience with liquid cooling systems including direct-to-chip, cooling loops, and CDUs, or critical facility plumbing, with the hands-on confidence to install, validate, and maintain these systems in the field.
  • Highly autonomous and self-directed, with a track record of taking full ownership of physical infrastructure projects and making calls fast in environments where the pace is high and the problems are new.
