Retail Expansion and Business Development Manager
FunzyRetail Expansion & Business Development Manager driving sales through pop-up stores across DACH region. Establishing partnerships and leading local events for family-focused products within a dynamic team.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will bring Funzy into the major metropolitan areas of the DACH region and take full operational and strategic responsibility for our monthly pop-up stores from A to Z — including location scouting, logistics, team management, live sales and post-event analysis.
- You will be responsible for a seven-figure revenue channel with clear targets, managing budgets and KPIs while keeping both growth and profitability in mind.
- You ensure that every sales space reflects the Funzy brand optimally — creative, high-quality and absolutely "Insta-ready."
- You establish long-term partnerships and place Funzy where families go: from family cafés and family hotels to concept stores and experiential venues.
- You develop creative activations, events and promotions that generate attention, bring people together and drive sales.
- You work closely with our marketing team and intelligently extend offline experiences into the digital world.
- You recruit, train and motivate local promoters and event teams and ensure that every activation is a success.
- You are hands-on and act as the driving force on site behind our pop-ups and activations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have prior experience in areas such as Retail Expansion, Store Management, Field Sales, Trade Marketing or Business Development, ideally in a dynamic start-up, DTC or consumer environment.
- You are an excellent organizer, work in a solution-focused way and keep oversight even when many things are happening at once.
- You are a doer and enjoy getting stuck in yourself — from negotiation meetings to building a pop-up store.
- You proactively approach people, build relationships and enjoy negotiating strong partnerships and attractive deals.
- You love achieving goals, making successes visible and get energized when an idea ultimately turns into revenue.
- You have a good sense for families, parents and children and understand what motivates our target group.
- You enjoy variety and are happy to travel. You will spend approximately 40–50% of your working time travelling within the DACH region.
- You speak fluent German and very good English.
