About the role
- Manage and monitor Cisco-based network infrastructures and firewall solutions.
- Implement and maintain security policies to ensure network security.
- Analyze and resolve network issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and virtual machines using VMware vSphere.
- Administer and optimize Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Configure and manage storage systems for data processing and protection.
- Implement data backup solutions based on Veeam to ensure reliable backups and recovery.
- Perform regular security reviews and penetration tests.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance IT security.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in network and firewall administration with Cisco and Fortinet products.
- Solid knowledge of VMware vSphere, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience configuring and managing storage systems and data backup solutions, particularly Veeam.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, dynamic environment.
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
