About the role

  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for both individual and corporate HP loan applications.
  • Ensure that credit requests are processed within the designated turnaround time, adhering to FSMY’s credit policies and lending guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with hire purchase agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams and customers.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior credit analysts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit policies, procedures, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions impacting the hire purchase market.
  • Ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities delegated by the supervisor from time to time.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in loan processing or evaluation within the financial services industry or a financial institution, concentrate on Hire Purchase product.
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of hire purchase accounts.
  • Excellent understanding of credit principles, financial statements, and risk management concepts.
  • Proficiency in credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to speak in other languages or dialects would be added advantage.
