About the role
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments for both individual and corporate HP loan applications.
- Ensure that credit requests are processed within the designated turnaround time, adhering to FSMY’s credit policies and lending guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with hire purchase agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams and customers.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior credit analysts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of credit policies, procedures, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions impacting the hire purchase market.
- Ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities delegated by the supervisor from time to time.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in loan processing or evaluation within the financial services industry or a financial institution, concentrate on Hire Purchase product.
- Proven track record of managing a portfolio of hire purchase accounts.
- Excellent understanding of credit principles, financial statements, and risk management concepts.
- Proficiency in credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Possess strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to speak in other languages or dialects would be added advantage.
