District Manager
FunderialDistrict Manager overseeing district operations and growth for lake management company in Florida. Leading a team and ensuring compliance with lake management standards and client relationships.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee all aspects of district operations including lake assessments, vegetation management, water quality testing, and aquatic habitat restoration.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet district goals and objectives.
- Monitor and manage district budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to lake and pond management.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of lake technicians and specialists
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the district, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services to existing clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and participate in client presentations.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to assess the effectiveness of lake management activities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in lake and pond management, including aquatic vegetation control, water quality management, and habitat restoration.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in lake and pond management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Valid driver's license from state of residence and willingness to travel within the assigned district as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Natural Resource Management, or related field is highly desired, Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in lake and pond management, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
