About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement the Foundation’s integrated institutional communication, positioning, and reputation strategy;
  • Define narrative guidelines, institutional presence, and relationships with priority stakeholders;
  • Identify strategic visibility opportunities, institutional participation, and advocacy in agendas aligned with the organization’s mission;
  • In partnership with the Foundation’s program areas, plan and promote proprietary events that highlight key topics for the Foundation’s strategic positioning;
  • Strengthen the Foundation’s institutional image with different stakeholder groups;
  • Develop and manage relationships with civil society organizations, public agencies, networks, companies, academic institutions, institutes, foundations, and other strategic actors;
  • Structure and monitor institutional partnerships and coordination efforts that expand the Foundation’s impact and legitimacy;
  • Represent the organization at events, forums, boards, conferences, and strategic dialogue spaces;
  • Coordinate the production of institutional and strategic content for different channels and audiences, ensuring alignment between content, target audience, and communication channel;
  • Lead relationships with the press, PR firms, agencies, and communication partners to generate reputational capital for the Foundation across the department’s activities;
  • Ensure consistency of language, institutional identity, and positioning in campaigns, materials, and institutional channels;
  • Oversee digital communication strategies, social media, institutional publications, and reports;
  • Develop, in partnership with People & Culture, internal communication and engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening institutional culture, employee experience, and sense of belonging, aligned with the Foundation’s values and strategic direction;
  • Establish channels, workflows, and communication actions that promote transparency, integration, institutional alignment, and strengthen team belonging;
  • Ensure coherence between external institutional communication and internal experience, reinforcing organizational culture, reputation, and brand attributes;
  • Prepare and monitor the department’s strategic and budgetary planning;
  • Define indicators and track metrics for reputation, reach, engagement, and effectiveness of institutional communication;
  • Lead the team and external partners, ensuring strategic alignment, technical quality, and integration of initiatives;
  • Establish processes, policies, and workflows related to communication and institutional relations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education: Degree in Institutional Relations, Communication, Marketing, or related fields. Postgraduate degree or MBA in Communication, Institutional Relations, Strategic Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred;
  • Languages: Fluent/advanced English;
  • Institutional communication and positioning: Proven expertise in strategies related to reputation, positioning, and narrative coherence with internal and external audiences;
  • Internal communication and engagement: Ability to design internal communication strategies in partnership with People & Culture that promote alignment, culture, and engagement;
  • Institutional marketing and communication channels: Experience managing digital channels, press relations, and external providers to ensure institutional presence;
  • Strategic articulation and partnerships: Negotiation skills and experience structuring partnerships and institutional agreements that expand the organization’s impact and reach;
  • Event management and institutional presence: Ability to plan and execute events and relationship-building activities focused on positioning and strategic articulation;
  • Communication planning and management: Ability to develop and implement integrated communication and relationship plans aligned with institutional strategy;
  • Territorial and institutional narrative: Ability to translate learnings and emerging evidence from territories into mobilization and reputational strengthening.
