Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst – Social Sector

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with the Theory of Change and the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Design and refine logical frameworks and causal chains (inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact) for programs and projects.
- Develop performance, outcome, and impact indicators, including setting baselines, targets, and tracking metrics.
- Plan and conduct evaluations using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods (e.g., quasi-experiments, case studies, participatory evaluations).
- Develop methodologies to prioritize projects eligible for more rigorous evaluations, considering scale, relevance, maturity, and methodological feasibility.
- Consolidate and interpret data and evidence to generate strategic recommendations.
- Work closely with the data team to specify analytical needs, ensuring that data bases adequately support M&E analyses.
- Support capacity building for teams and partners in the use of monitoring and evaluation tools and concepts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Public Policy, or related fields.
- Master’s degree or postgraduate specialization in Evaluation, Public Policy, Public Health, or related areas preferred.
- Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of social programs or public policies.
- Experience leading or coordinating evaluations.
- Experience designing institutional M&E systems.
- Experience working with the third sector, foundations, or international organizations.
- Theory of Change and Logical Frameworks.
- Evaluation methods (quantitative, qualitative, and mixed).
- Impact evaluations (RCTs, Difference-in-Differences (DID), Propensity Score Matching (PSM), among others).
- Development of indicators and monitoring systems.
- Data analysis applied to evaluation.
- Advanced English (mandatory) / Spanish (desirable).
