About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and evolve backend applications using PHP or Node.js
Build scalable, resilient, and high-availability solutions
Support technical decisions considering business impact, performance, and operational cost
Perform code reviews and ensure the technical quality of the team’s deliveries
Mentor less-experienced developers and promote engineering best practices
Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps teams and business stakeholders
Analyze and resolve complex production issues
Lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and continuously improve the platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in backend development with PHP or Node.js
Proficiency with Node.js frameworks (NestJS, Express or similar)
Strong knowledge of REST API design and microservices architecture
Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture
Advanced knowledge of relational database modeling and optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
Experience with messaging systems and queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS or similar)
Experience with caching and performance optimization (Redis, CDN, caching strategies)
Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
Experience with observability, monitoring and troubleshooting
Knowledge of automated testing and quality strategies
Familiarity with application security practices and LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law)
