About the role

  • Build data management capabilities powering Fullstory’s AI-enhanced products
  • Design and build services that automatically identify, label, and provide semantic meaning to raw user event data
  • Design and build features toward a zero-configuration future for behavioral data analysis
  • Partner with product and design to propose solutions to customer pain points
  • Collaborate with engineering peers via design discussions, pair programming, and code reviews
  • Own operational health of features, monitoring services and resolving issues
  • Deliver features to production with growing autonomy, take ownership of projects
  • Influence design of new features and contribute to major features moving toward zero-configuration

Requirements

  • Passion for solving complex engineering problems
  • Experience designing robust and scalable APIs
  • History of building and maintaining high-performance services, ideally with gRPC and Protocol Buffers
  • Proficiency in a strongly-typed language such as Go, Java, Typescript, or Rust
  • Experience building, monitoring, and managing distributed systems at scale
  • Bonus: experience with Apache Solr or Apache Lucene
  • Track record of effective collaboration, autonomy, and ownership
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Ability to communicate clearly and document work
