Scrum Master

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework and Agile best practices.
- Enable teams to meet sprint commitments, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify, remove, and proactively escalate impediments and risks impacting team progress.
- Promote self organization, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Track, analyze, and communicate Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, capacity, and sprint progress to drive transparency and improvement.
- Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and prioritization.
- Ensure user stories meet Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
- Participate in Scrum of Scrums to manage cross team dependencies and resolve inter team challenges.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to ensure effective coordination across teams.
- Provide regular updates on delivery status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and Scrum practices, reinforcing consistent adoption across teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile role.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent) is required.
- Strong understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve impediments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
