About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support WMS implementation and configuration projects end-to-end
- Analyze business, functional, and integration requirements to design effective WMS solutions
- Configure core WMS modules including Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Returns, Picking, and Shipping
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to develop custom logic using configuration and extensibility tools
- Support API testing using tools such as Postman
- Manage integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, and MHE/automation systems
- Write, review, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures in relational databases
- Perform root-cause analysis, debugging, and performance tuning of queries, stored procedures, indexing, and execution plans
- Partner with clients and stakeholders during SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live phases
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve functional and technical problems within defined SLAs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain technical designs, test plans, runbooks, and configuration records
- Progress from onboarding and shadowing implementation teams to leading strategic WMS deployments
- Mentor junior team members, refine integration strategies, provide roadmap inputs, and deliver measurable outcomes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in WMS implementations or supply chain execution systems
- Strong techno-functional background in any WMS platform
- Deep understanding of warehouse workflows: receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, etc.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including designing and optimizing stored procedures, complex queries, indexing, and performance tuning on relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
- Experience with API testing tools and system integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, and MHE
- Demonstrable troubleshooting and debugging skills across application, integration, and data layers
- Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Experience with WMS platforms such as Manhattan, Blue Yonder, HighJump, or SAP EWM is encouraged
- Experience integrating WMS with Goods-to-Person, AS/RS, or other automation technologies is preferred
- Exposure to OMS, TMS, or EDI messaging standards is preferred
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environments is preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 50% initially, potentially increasing to 75% over the next six months
