About the role
- Lead all aspects of facilities management and technical operations across a national portfolio spanning retail, residential, industrial and mixed-use assets
- Take ownership of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, lifecycle planning and major works
- Embed compliance, risk and sustainability frameworks across all asset classes
- Partner closely with development teams to ensure operational readiness for new assets and expansions
- Manage, mentor and grow a high-performing facilities team supported by contractors and service providers
- Act as technical advisor to the executive team, ensuring assets are safe, efficient, future-proofed and aligned to long-term strategy
- Build systems, governance and people capability to scale during growth
Requirements
- Engineering qualifications (electrical, mechanical, building services or related discipline)
- 15+ years’ experience in technical operations and facilities management with major developers or asset owners
- Proven success managing large, complex portfolios across retail, residential and industrial sectors
- Strong commercial acumen with experience leading $10M+ OPEX/CAPEX budgets
- Track record of building high-performing teams and driving contractor/vendor performance
- Deep knowledge of compliance, safety, risk and sustainability frameworks
- Experience working directly for owners/developers (not only agency/outsourced FM)
