Key responsibilities & impact

Operating as a business partner, manage the day-to-day legal affairs of certain Fujifilm Life Sciences/Pharma companies under general supervision of Division General Counsel.
Advise, counsel and report to management on legal and regulatory risks, including with respect to FDA regulations and other frameworks specific to Life Science/Pharma companies.
Directly draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts.
Work with outside counsel on a regular basis to review and handle large volume of contracts.
Champion and execute contracting and legal support process improvements.
Provide subject matter expertise and support for corporate and pre-litigation/litigation work.
Participate in the development and structuring of new business ventures and corporate transactions.
Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes that may affect HLUS and its subsidiary companies.
Provide training to HLUS and its subsidiary companies on substantive legal topics.

Requirements

What you’ll need

College degree and juris doctorate from accredited law school.
Admitted to at least one state bar in good standing.
6-8 years of relevant experience in a corporate law firm and/or in-house legal department, preferably in the Life Science/Pharma, Medical Device or health care field.
Solid commercial contract background with extensive drafting experience.
Experience managing outside counsel and/or legal staff.
In-depth knowledge of FDA and related regulations, including requirements specifically applicable to the CDMO, Life Science/Pharma and Medical Device industries.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Computer skills and appropriate applications.
