About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The focus of the role is in project execution and geotechnical investigations
  • Carrying out geotechnical sampling and field and laboratory tests
  • Geological/geotechnical identification and classification of soils and rocks
  • Project work in the fields of geotechnical engineering at home and abroad, documentation and review of results, compliance with specifications and contractual parameters
  • Managing projects with regard to quality, cost, schedule and safety in coordination with the department head and project managers
  • Planning, coordinating and conducting geotechnical surveys, tests and measurements
  • Collaboration with project-related subcontractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed university degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Geology, Surveying/Geodesy or a comparable field
  • Initial practical experience through internships or working student positions is advantageous but not required
  • Confident, professionally competent and strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle conflict and strong negotiation skills
  • High level of commitment
  • IT skills: Proficient use of Office software, ArcGIS
  • Very good German communication skills preferred at C1 level and good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
  • Driving licence class B and willingness to undertake project-related assignments
  • Authorization to work in Germany and openness to collaborating in an international environment
