About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The main focus of the role is on project work and geotechnical site investigation
- Conducting geotechnical sampling and field and laboratory testing
- Geological / geotechnical assessment and classification of soils and rocks
- Project work in the field of geotechnics at home and abroad, documentation and review of results, compliance with requirements and contractual values
- Handling projects with regard to quality, cost, schedule and safety requirements in coordination with the department head and project managers
- Planning, coordinating and carrying out geotechnical investigations, tests and measurements
- Collaboration with project-related subcontractors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university degree in civil engineering, geotechnology, geology, surveying/geodesy or a comparable degree program
- Initial relevant practical experience in the form of internships / working student positions is an advantage but not a requirement
- Confident, professionally competent and strong communication skills
- Ability to handle conflict and strong negotiation skills
- High level of commitment
- IT skills: Proficient use of Office software, ArcGIS
- Very good communication skills in German preferred at C1 level as well as good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
- Class B driving license and willingness to undertake project-related assignments
- Authorization to work in Germany and openness to working in an international environment
