About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The main focus of the role is on project work and geotechnical site investigation
  • Conducting geotechnical sampling and field and laboratory testing
  • Geological / geotechnical assessment and classification of soils and rocks
  • Project work in the field of geotechnics at home and abroad, documentation and review of results, compliance with requirements and contractual values
  • Handling projects with regard to quality, cost, schedule and safety requirements in coordination with the department head and project managers
  • Planning, coordinating and carrying out geotechnical investigations, tests and measurements
  • Collaboration with project-related subcontractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Successfully completed university degree in civil engineering, geotechnology, geology, surveying/geodesy or a comparable degree program
  • Initial relevant practical experience in the form of internships / working student positions is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Confident, professionally competent and strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle conflict and strong negotiation skills
  • High level of commitment
  • IT skills: Proficient use of Office software, ArcGIS
  • Very good communication skills in German preferred at C1 level as well as good English skills for collaboration in an international environment
  • Class B driving license and willingness to undertake project-related assignments
  • Authorization to work in Germany and openness to working in an international environment
