About the role
- Advise and support grocery retail customers in your territory as the point of contact for spices in the Regensburg, Deggendorf and Landshut region
- Onboard, provide professional and disciplinary leadership, and motivate your team, including overseeing substitutions and vacation planning
- Build and maintain long-term, partnership-based relationships with decision-makers in the grocery retail sector
- Analyze and manage sales KPIs and distribution implementation, and initiate targeted actions to leverage customer-specific potential
- Coordinate shelf agreements and plan new store set-ups in close collaboration with customers and the store refurbishment team
- Coordinate and implement secondary placements (e.g., displays) to promote sales
- Monitor the market and ensure point-of-sale (POS) excellence
- Conduct regional meetings and training sessions, and support recruiting processes within the scope of your fixed-term employment contract
Requirements
- Completed commercial/business training, preferably in the FMCG sector or retail
- Solid knowledge of the grocery retail sector and regional network, e.g., experience as a district manager, store manager or sales manager (m/f/d)
- Ideally, initial leadership experience and an understanding of KPIs
- Good knowledge of standard MS Office applications
- Driver's license and willingness to travel and stay overnight
- Friendly demeanor, strong teamwork and communication skills, commitment and cost awareness
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness when dealing with negotiation partners in the role of Area Sales Manager (m/f/d)
