About the role
- Strategic and operational management of an assigned top account (Hard Discount) for the spices category (private label and branded products), as well as leading and developing a team as Group Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in Sales / Retail
- Personal account management and expansion of the assigned customer nationally and internationally by leading and taking responsibility for negotiations on prices, terms and framework conditions, and by assuming revenue and sales responsibility
- Planning, controlling and analysis, e.g., by conducting budget planning and sales planning, customer management, and deriving relevant KPIs
- Continuous analysis of competitor positions and assortments and deriving concrete recommendations for action through monitoring and optimizing listings as well as building new business
- Developing customer-specific annual targets as well as strategies and action plans and implementing them with the customer
Requirements
- Degree in economics or business administration, or equivalent vocational training (e.g., industrial clerk) (m/f/d)
- Operational experience and proven success in Key Account Management / Sales for private label and FMCG products with a focus on German retail headquarters (central buying offices), e.g., in roles such as Senior Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, etc. (m/f/d)
- Experience in conducting negotiations and closing annual agreements, as well as detailed knowledge of customer-side structures and decision-making processes
- Good understanding of market research results and the ability to translate them into persuasive arguments for customers
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken, for communication with customers
