About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Mining Sales Engineer will report to our Sales Manager
- Achieving agreed sales targets by developing and managing new business within the mining product line
- Selling and marketing all services and products offered by the company within the mining industry
- Demonstrating the benefits of the company’s product line to customers through on-site visits
- Ensuring sales forecasts and budgets are achieved
- Managing existing and new accounts to ensure superior customer service
- Preparing documentation and submissions for Tenders, Expressions of Interest and Requests For Information
- Representing the company in industry events and collaborating with internal stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities at designated mine sites to improve utilization and efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- A technology or Bachelor’s degree in a mining or engineering discipline strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Mining industry required; underground experience on longwalls in the coal industry is required
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal resources
- Established network in the mining industry preferred
- A passion for achieving business goals and sales targets
- Current & valid driving license required
