About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate electrical apprenticeship, QuickStart, and trade-related training classes
  • Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Team to research, recommend, develop, pilot, and implement technical and trade-related training programs
  • Design and develop technical and trade-related curriculum based on organizational needs
  • Conduct jobsite and on-site coaching and employee development related to audits or novel work and jobs in crisis
  • Develop relationships with operational leaders to facilitate open dialogue and trust
  • Support and guide the Apprenticeship Coordinator in coordinating apprenticeship programs as needed
  • Work with the Learning & Development team and subject-matter experts to continuously improve program content, activities, and delivery
  • Continuously increase knowledge of Learning & Development craft
  • Participate in professional and trade-related organizations
  • Model company values and professional standards for trainees
  • Collaborate with others and effectively influence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program, an Associate Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong technical background
  • 5 years of related experience in the electrical, specialty systems, or related trade
  • 1 to 2 years of facilitation experience
  • Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency operating audiovisual equipment
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the electrical and/or specialty systems contractor field
  • Knowledge of adult educational principles and theory preferred
  • Confidentiality is essential
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Availability for typical work hours between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with work potentially required at any time to meet business needs
  • Ability to adhere to company values and professional standards
  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and be approachable
  • Successful background and drug test required for employment
