About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate business and provide general management of electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
  • Oversee staff and Cx crews
  • Support development of QAQC/Cx scope, schedule, budget, and safety plan
  • Review QAQC/Cx estimates with the Estimating Department
  • Coordinate internal functional groups and monitor project deliverables
  • Ensure startup and operational procedures are safely executed and comply with client specifications
  • Coordinate with clients and affected parties on daily startup and commissioning activities
  • Lead daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings
  • Manage QAQC/Cx issue logs and coordinate issue resolution
  • Coordinate with third-party testing and commissioning agencies
  • Participate in field leadership performance reviews
  • Partner with the Talent Team on recruiting, selection, and employee relations for direct reports
  • Visit jobsites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors
  • Delegate to and provide feedback and direction to Cx crews
  • Organize Cx crews into productive teams
  • Monitor workflow across organizational units and recommend improvements
  • Convey functional strategies, business strategies, and corporate mission
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and support team development
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training
  • 1 year of electrical estimating experience, or five years of Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management experience with 8 years of commissioning/start-up experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Experience leading commissioning/start-up activities for construction projects exceeding $25MM in contract value strongly preferred
  • Relevant industry experience may include Mission Critical, Industrial, and Commercial
  • Proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred
  • Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100%
  • Ability to work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday, and at any time on any day of the week as business needs require
  • Successful completion of a background and drug test
  • Ability to perform the position's assigned functions and requirements
