About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide general management for electrical and/or specialty systems QAQC and commissioning scopes of work under the guidance of the Project or Program Manager
- Assist with commissioning and startup schedules
- Contact vendors to obtain materials for construction projects
- Participate in bi-annual performance evaluation processes and conduct employee performance reviews
- Consult with Group or Project Managers to establish field merit wage increases
- Maintain employee relations
- Plan, organize, and staff electrical and/or specialty systems construction projects
- Ensure projects are completed profitably, on time, and according to customer expectations
- Attend weekly and monthly staffing, project management, and sales meetings
- Process miscellaneous paperwork
- Review outgoing estimates with the Estimating Department
- Visit various job sites and interact with crews, customers, foremen, and general contractors to ensure job progress and support safe behavior
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1–2 years of Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management experience
- Commissioning/start-up experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems
- Relevant industry experience may include Mission Critical, Industrial, and Commercial
- Proficiency in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the electrical construction trade preferred
- Willingness/ability to travel 75–100%
- Availability for typical work hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, with work potentially required at any time to meet business needs
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test
- Ability to perform the position’s assigned functions and requirements
