About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage in early project development, including feasibility studies, site diligence, conceptual design, and cost estimation
  • Collaborate with business development and engineering teams on proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Advise on project strategy and risk during the pre-contract award phase
  • Lead planning, organization, staffing, and delivery of electrical and/or specialty systems EPC projects
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Guide and oversee other Project Managers
  • Select, develop, and mentor managerial talent
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Present project updates and progress reports to senior leadership and clients
  • Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and address contractual issues
  • Oversee engineering and design reviews, drawings, specifications, and constructability analyses
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and services
  • Develop procurement plans, evaluate bids, and oversee vendor performance
  • Oversee on-site construction activities, site visits, crews, customers, foremen, and subcontractors
  • Ensure safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, cost control, and profitability
  • Identify and mitigate risks and implement recovery plans
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain contracts, financial records, progress reports, and closeout analysis
  • Provide timely written and oral reports to stakeholders
  • Engage in contractor license requirements and obtain company-level licenses as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience managing large-scale specialty construction projects
  • Significant experience in an EPC Project Manager or similar leadership role
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle
  • Experience with feasibility studies, conceptual design, site assessment, and proposal support
  • Strong leadership and technical skills
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies
  • Deep understanding of the construction trade, particularly Energy EPC contracts
  • Experience evaluating, analyzing, and supporting design and engineering oversight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 100%
  • Ability to work varying days and hours based on business needs
  • Ability to engage in contractor license requirements and obtain additional company-level licenses as needed
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Experience with Accubid, ACC, and Primavera preferred
  • Successful background and drug test required
