About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify emerging opportunities, competitive threats, customer needs, and market trends across key infrastructure markets
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to guide product development, brand strategy, and go-to-market decisions
  • Leverage AI-enabled research tools, survey platforms, and analytics software to accelerate insight generation
  • Lead market research and competitive intelligence initiatives that support strategic planning, product development, and go-to-market decisions
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, emerging technologies, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics
  • Develop market assessments, competitor profiles, battlecards, market sizing analyses (TAM/SAM/SOM), and executive intelligence briefings
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to identify customer needs, growth opportunities, market gaps, and competitive risks
  • Synthesize complex findings into concise, executive-level reports, presentations, and recommendations
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Leadership to guide strategic initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, Marketing or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required)
  • 5-8 years of market research experience in B2B market research, competitive intelligence, consulting, strategy or business intelligence
  • familiarity with AI driven research tools
  • Experience with energy, industrial, manufacturing, technology, electrical infrastructure or data center markets
  • Knowledge of AI-based market research tools for data exploration, synthesis and reporting
  • Knowledge of statistical and analytical tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI or similar)
  • Experience with strategic frameworks such as Porter's Five Forces, SWOT, PESTLE, and Scenario Planning
  • familiarity with market sizing to determine market share: Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM)
