About the role
- Perform basic electrical power and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects under direct supervision of an upper level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader
- Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements
- Conduct field surveys and study diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications with direction from an upper-level Engineer
- Plan layout of electrical construction projects with direction from an upper level Engineer
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
- Report as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering - Electrical or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
- 4 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- AutoCAD knowledge is required
- Knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols is required
- Knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is necessary
- Travel: 5-10%
- Work Schedule: between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday; Overtime may be required
