Perform basic electrical power and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects under direct supervision
Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements
Conduct field surveys and study diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems
Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications with direction from an upper-level Engineer
Plan layout of electrical construction projects with direction from an upper-level Engineer
Report to and take direction from an upper-level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Bachelors Degree in Architectural Engineering - Electrical OR Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
4 years of progressive electrical engineering related experience
Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCAD knowledge is required
Knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols is required
Knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is necessary
Travel: 5-10%
Work Schedule: available to work between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday; overtime may be required
