Onsite Safety Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Formulates, develops, and coordinates safety and loss control functions onsite
- Monitors compliance with government regulatory agencies such as OSHA, MSHA, DNR, etc.
- Collaborates with Safety Department to improve safety and health onsite and for the company overall
- Completes jobsite safety audits, identifies unsafe conditions and work practices, and ensures appropriate corrective actions are taken
- Provides guidance to field employees, project supervisors, and management on employee health & safety matters
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety or Construction
- 3 to 5 years of Safety experience or 5 years of experience in the electrical trade (4th year apprentice or above)
- Proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Thorough knowledge of federal safety regulations as well as the electrical construction trade
- Ability to operate various types of construction equipment
