Assistant Electrical Project Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contacts vendors to obtain materials for construction projects
- Participates in bi-annual performance evaluation process; conducts employee performance reviews
- Plans, organizes, and staffs electrical/specialty systems construction projects
- Ensures that projects are completed profitably, in a timely manner, and according to customer expectations
- Attends weekly and monthly meetings (e.g., Staffing Meeting, PM Meeting, Sales Meeting)
- Processes miscellaneous paperwork
- Reviews outgoing estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy
- Visits job sites and interacts with crew, customers, foreman, and general contractors to ensure proper job progress
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in electrical construction, project management, or a related field
- Knowledge of Accubid and AutoCAD preferred
- General knowledge of electrical components and applications preferred
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role highly desirable
- 15-20% travel required
- Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; work may be performed at any time on any day to meet business needs
