About the role
- Act as the primary authority on Test, Facility, and Automation engineering standards
- Translate corporate strategic goals into actionable engineering road maps
- Ensure the team’s technical direction evolves with industry 4.0 trends and future business needs
- Take full accountability for project deliverables within the scope of test, automation, and facilities
- Distill complex technical status updates into clear, concise reports for executive leadership and project stakeholders
- Identify technical risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
- Oversee day-to-day tasks for a team of Advanced Test, Automation, and Facility Engineers
- Manage task allocation to ensure alignment with project timelines and critical milestones
- Balance "player-coach" duties: provide hands-on troubleshooting and design input while leading the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Core Engineering Discipline - Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Facility, Test, Automation, Controls, or relevant roles
- 8-10 years of experience in Automation and Controls or relevant roles is preferred
- Experience with PLC controls and programming
- Project management skills
- HMI/SCADA interface design experience
- Automated test software such as LabVIEW, Python, or PLC-based testing experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
