About the role
- Assist in interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and generate/distribute meeting minutes
- Keep stakeholders informed of changes and modifications throughout construction
- Provide support to field personnel to ensure design intent is accurately translated to the field
- Attend site meetings and visits to document existing conditions
- Assist engineering team in developing designs and support MEP coordination with other trades
- Aid in construction as-built and documentation process; maintain logs; manage submittal and RFI process
- Report updates to senior engineers and project managers; perform other duties as assigned
- Receive tasks assigned by Senior Preconstruction Engineer and Preconstruction Manager
- Required travel 25-50% and on-site presence for field walks and stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma, Technical Associate, or related experience
- Some previous experience in construction or internships preferred but not required
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of construction programs (Bluebeam studio, AutoCAD, Revit) beneficial but not required
- Practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams on-site and in the office
- Willingness/ability to work on-site as needed; travel 25-50% depending on business needs
- Typical work hours 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday; overtime may be required
