About the role

  • Conduct structural and thermal impact analysis of enclosures and components under various stresses, loading conditions, and heat rejection of electronic components.
  • Support the design of power distribution enclosures, data center enclosures, switchboards, and battery packs.
  • Use modeling and simulation to optimize battery pack design and reduce the potential for flaws to guide the build of physical prototypes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FEA modeling
  • Proven experience in finite element analysis with use of Ansys, Abaqus, COMSOL or similar software
  • Strong knowledge of static and dynamic structural analysis, material strength, and failure modeling for different classes of materials
  • Knowledge of CAD design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, power conversion, and energy storage systems and containers
  • Familiarity with power distribution enclosures including UPS, switchboards, batteries, and power electronics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret simulation results
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
