About the role
- Lead the design, development, and testing of advanced systems for DER and power distribution applications.
- Define technology roadmaps, benchmarking and validating components against performance, efficiency, cost, and specification targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver energy, power distribution, and power conversion solutions across multiple markets.
- Influence long-term technology strategy and build external supplier partnerships.
- Communicate technical insights to key stakeholders.
- Characterize, benchmark, and define requirements for design, development of proof-of-concept prototypes, and testing of various components and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical).
- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, power conversion, and energy storage technologies.
- 10+ years of experience in system design, architecture, testing, or integration of various relevant energy technologies for microgrid, power generation, and/or energy storage.
- Experience with collaboration and application of modeling for system design.
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic direction to company-wide product and technology roadmaps.
