About the role

  • Designing and/or specifying mechanical and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies used in products within renewable energy, microgrid, EV charging, crypto mining, and data center markets.
  • Supporting the Design Engineering team in the design and qualification of mechanical components, sub-systems, multi-level assemblies, and system architecture of various products used within the energy industry.
  • Coordinating work with individuals to meet project requirements, timelines, and goals.
  • Understanding high-level requirements and creating detail-level requirements and designs.
  • Understanding drawing standards, Change Notice practices, and creating Bills of Materials based on design output.
  • Reviewing technical drawings and mechanical specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • Internship or 6 months of work experience
  • Working knowledge in 2D/3D CAD design software (Inventor, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo)
  • Design experience with structural enclosures, mechanical assemblies, HVAC systems, mechanical piping, firefighting systems, and/or power generation
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Experience in Bill of Material creation and Change Notice processes
  • Experience in mechanical components or equipment within the energy industry
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in the design and development of electrical components
  • PLC programming experience
