About the role

  • Create or improve upon products, systems and designs to make them safer and more efficient
  • Examine manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption, streamline production times, and minimize the use of resources
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies
  • Monitors operations with an eye toward improving productivity and efficiency
  • Designs efficient production processes and workflows
  • Reduces waste and addresses production issues
  • Reviews production schedules, processes and specifications
  • Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues
  • Works with other departments to develop design and production standards

Requirements

  • BS in industrial engineering or related field such as manufacturing or mechanical engineering required
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods will be a key skill for this role
